The short answer
TroveSkin is gone: its App Store and Google Play listings are no longer live. If you used it to track your skin with selfies, GoodSkin picks up that job. It turns each selfie into a Skin Score and 14 trait scores, groups your scans by month with before-and-after comparisons, and keeps your history on your phone with no account.

No, the TroveSkin app is no longer available to download. When we checked on October 26, 2026, its old App Store and Google Play links both returned “not found”, and troveskin.com now redirects to an unrelated website. If you are looking for a TroveSkin alternative to keep tracking your skin, GoodSkin is the app to try: it takes the progress-selfie idea further by turning each photo into a Skin Score out of 100 and scores for 14 skin traits.
TroveSkin is no longer live, so everything we say about it comes from its archived App Store listing (September 2023) and its archived website (March 2024), both linked in the sources below.
Is the TroveSkin app still available?
TroveSkin: Skincare Coach was made by Trove Technologies Pte. Ltd. and was listed on both iOS and Android. We could not find it on the App Store in the US, Singapore, or Indonesia, or on Google Play. The last App Store update we could find was version 7.1.9 on August 11, 2023, described simply as “general maintenance”.
We found no shutdown announcement from TroveSkin itself and cannot tell you why it was removed. If the app is still on your phone, save any progress photos you want to keep to your camera roll now, since an app that is no longer updated can stop working after an operating system update.
What TroveSkin was for
TroveSkin called itself a “smart all-in-one skincare tracker”. The idea was to log everything that might affect your skin and look back to see what worked. According to its archived listing and website, you could:
- Log the products you used and the routines you performed.
- Keep track of your product stash, including expiry dates, ingredients, and spending, with expiry reminders.
- Track mood, diet, stress, sleep, and other habits to spot skin triggers.
- Take progress photos from several face angles and of regions like the forehead, nose, and cheeks, then compare them.
- Get product and routine recommendations for your skin type.
- Connect with other skincare fans in the app’s community.
TroveSkin was mainly a journal, and you judged the progress photos yourself. GoodSkin is a measuring tool: the AI reads each photo and scores it. The comparison does not depend on your eye.
How does GoodSkin compare as a TroveSkin alternative?
GoodSkin’s core is the scan. You take one selfie and get a Skin Score out of 100, scores for 14 traits (Skin Age, Acne, Wrinkles, Dark Spots, Pores, Redness, Pigmentation, Glow, Hydration, Oiliness, Face Shape, Bloat, Elasticity, and Texture), your skin type and skin tone, and a scan confidence rating that flags blurry, dark, or badly lit photos. Each trait gets a status from Excellent to Needs Improvement, a short explanation, and practical recommendations.
TroveSkin’s own pages describe photo logs and selfie comparisons, but not a scored, trait-by-trait analysis. Some third-party roundups describe it as analyzing skin from a selfie, but we could not confirm that on TroveSkin’s own listing or website, so we have left it out of the comparison.
The practical difference: with TroveSkin you compared photos by eye. With GoodSkin, the AI reads the same 14 traits every time, which makes small changes easier to notice. It is still a cosmetic estimate, not a diagnosis, and it works best when your photos are taken the same way each time. We explain the limits in how accurate AI skin analysis really is, and you can see what the report covers on the AI skin analysis page.
Tracking progress
GoodSkin tracks results: your scores. Scan history is grouped by month with your average score, best score, and “potential glow”, and you can compare before-and-after photos, keep a daily scan streak, and get a daily skincare tip. With GoodSkin Premium, scans are unlimited. Check in as often as you like.
TroveSkin tracked inputs: products, routines, habits, and lifestyle factors, alongside your photos. GoodSkin does not log products, diet, sleep, or expiry dates, but you can still use it to test a new product: change one product at a time, scan in the same light a few times a week, and compare your monthly average after 4-8 weeks.
Why people choose GoodSkin as a TroveSkin alternative
- It is available today on the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone and Android.
- It scores your photos. Instead of comparing selfies by eye, you get a Skin Score and 14 trait scores that are easy to compare month to month.
- Every score comes with a plan. Each trait has a status, a short explanation, and practical recommendations.
- It flags bad photos. The scan confidence rating keeps a dim bathroom from quietly skewing your history.
- Your history stays with you. There is no account, photos are not stored on GoodSkin’s servers, and your scan history is saved on your phone.
Privacy
GoodSkin works without an account. Photos are not stored on GoodSkin’s servers, and your scan history is saved on your phone. If you are moving from an app that has disappeared, that last point is worth weighing: your history lives on your own device rather than in someone else’s account system.
TroveSkin’s archived App Store privacy label listed location, contact info, identifiers, and usage data as data linked to your identity, with user content and diagnostics collected but not linked to you.
Pricing
GoodSkin is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. The full report, unlimited scans, and progress tracking are part of GoodSkin Premium, an in-app subscription. Check the store listing in your country for current pricing.
TroveSkin was free to download, with TroveSkin Monthly and TroveSkin Annual subscriptions listed as in-app purchases on its 2023 US App Store page ($8.99 a month or $64.99 a year at the time). It is no longer possible to subscribe.
Which TroveSkin alternative should you choose?
For most former TroveSkin users, GoodSkin is the alternative to pick, because the part of TroveSkin that showed whether your skin was changing (progress selfies) is exactly what GoodSkin measures and tracks.
- You mainly took progress selfies. Choose GoodSkin. It scores your photos instead of leaving the comparison to your eye.
- You also logged products and routines. Use GoodSkin to measure, and pair it with a routine app for logging. Our GoodSkin vs Skin Bliss comparison looks at one option.
- You liked the community. GoodSkin has no community features. It focuses on measuring your skin.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an app like TroveSkin?
Yes. If you used TroveSkin for progress selfies, GoodSkin is the closest replacement, and it adds AI scores for 14 skin traits plus a Skin Score, grouped by month. GoodSkin does not log products or expiry dates. Pair it with a routine app if you need that.
Did TroveSkin use AI skin analysis?
Its archived App Store listing and website describe photo-based progress tracking, selfie comparisons, and product and lifestyle logging. We did not find a description of AI trait scoring on TroveSkin's own pages, so we have not compared it on that point.
Does GoodSkin log skincare products like TroveSkin did?
No. GoodSkin measures your skin from a selfie and gives practical recommendations for each trait, but it does not log products, diet, sleep, or expiry dates. If product logging matters to you, pair it with a routine app.
Is GoodSkin a medical skin app?
No. GoodSkin is a cosmetic and educational tool, not a medical device, and it does not diagnose conditions like acne vulgaris, rosacea, or skin cancer. For a spot that is changing, bleeding, or worrying you, see a dermatologist.
