The short answer
Skin Bliss is built for shopping: its scan sets up a skin profile, then it scores products and checks your routine for clashes. GoodSkin is built around your skin itself: 14 named traits plus a Skin Score from one selfie, practical recommendations for each, a warning for badly lit photos, and monthly tracking with no account. Skin Bliss fits if your main question is which products to buy.

If you want to analyze your skin and track how it changes, GoodSkin is a better fit than the Skin Bliss app. Both start with a selfie, but they are built for different jobs. GoodSkin is a skin analysis app: it scores 14 visible traits and a Skin Score out of 100, explains each one, and tracks how they change. Skin Bliss is mainly a product and routine tool: its scan builds a skin profile, which it then uses to score products and check your routine for ingredient clashes.
What each app is for
GoodSkin focuses on the skin itself. One selfie gives you a Skin Score out of 100, scores for 14 traits, your skin type and skin tone, and practical recommendations for each trait. The app then tracks those numbers over time, so you can see whether your routine is working.
Skin Bliss describes itself as a skincare scanner that checks whether products fit your skin before you buy. It is made by Skin Bliss SIA, an EU company founded by two scientists. You set up a skin profile once (through a face scan or a quiz), and from then on every product you scan or search comes back with a match score and the reasons behind it. Around that sit a routine builder, ingredient clash checks, a skin diary, an expiry tracker, and video programs.
Does the Skin Bliss app have a face scanner?
Yes. Skin Bliss’s Face Scanner reads visible concerns from a selfie and builds your skin profile: skin type, concerns, and what your routine should target. That profile then drives the product scores. The listing also mentions an AI photo comparison that checks later photos against your original scan.
GoodSkin’s scan is more granular. It reports a separate score and status (Excellent, Good, Fair, Average, or Needs Improvement) for Skin Age, Acne, Wrinkles, Dark Spots, Pores, Redness, Pigmentation, Glow, Hydration, Oiliness, Face Shape, Bloat, Elasticity, and Texture, each with a short explanation and practical recommendations. A scan confidence rating flags blurry, dark, or badly lit photos so a bad selfie does not quietly skew your results. You can see a full example on the AI skin analysis page.
Neither scan is a medical test. Both read what a phone camera can see, and both are sensitive to lighting. We cover what these scans can and cannot tell you in how accurate AI skin analysis really is.
Tracking progress: where GoodSkin pulls ahead
Tracking is built into GoodSkin. Scans are grouped by month with your average score, best score, and “potential glow”, and you get before-and-after comparisons, daily scan streaks, a daily skincare tip, and a shareable score card. GoodSkin Premium gives you unlimited scans to check in as often as you like.
Skin Bliss looks back in a different way: a skin diary for how your skin feels, symptoms, and possible triggers, plus AI photo comparisons against your first scan. Its website says photo comparisons are part of Pro.
A diary tells you what you changed; a scan history tells you whether your skin responded. Whatever you use, give a new product 4-8 weeks and compare monthly averages rather than single days.
What about products and routines?
This is the part of Skin Bliss that GoodSkin does not try to replace. According to its website and listing, Skin Bliss lets you scan a barcode, paste an ingredient list, photograph your shelf, or search more than 100,000 products, and see a match score for each one against your profile. It also checks your routine for clashes (such as an acid and a retinoid on the same night), builds routines of 3 to 6 steps, filters for pregnancy, halal, vegan, or fragrance-free products, and reminds you before an opened product expires.
GoodSkin’s recommendations work the other way round. Instead of grading a specific bottle, it tells you what each trait needs, and that advice is not tied to any product catalog. If you mostly want to know whether your skin is improving, that is the more useful answer. If you are standing in a shop wondering which serum to buy, Skin Bliss’s product scanner is built for that moment.
If you are not sure of your skin type yet, either app will be more useful once you know it.

- A fuller read of your skin. 14 named traits plus a Skin Score, skin type, and skin tone from one selfie.
- A plan for each trait. Every score comes with a status, a short explanation, and practical recommendations.
- You know when to retake a photo. The scan confidence rating flags blurry, dark, or badly lit selfies.
- Tracking at the center. Monthly averages, best score, before-and-after comparisons, and streaks are built into the app.
- No account, and photos stay off our servers. Your scan history is saved on your phone.
Privacy
GoodSkin does not need an account. Photos are not stored on GoodSkin’s servers, and your scan history is saved on your phone.
Skin Bliss uses an account: its website says a free account saves your skin profile to the app, and its App Store privacy label lists name and email address as data linked to you. Its privacy policy says data is stored in the cloud on servers in the European Union. Its Google Play data safety section says some data types, such as personal info and app activity, may be shared with third parties. We did not find a specific statement about how face scan photos are stored, so check the policy if that matters to you.
Pricing
GoodSkin is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. The full report, unlimited scans, and progress tracking are part of GoodSkin Premium, an in-app subscription. Check the store listing in your country for current pricing.
Skin Bliss is free to download. Its website says the quiz and the app are free, and that the basic 3-step routine is free while the 4-, 5-, and 6-step routines come with Skin Bliss Pro. Pro also unlocks unlimited scans, routine timelines, and photo comparisons. When we checked, the US App Store listed Skin Bliss Pro at $6.99 a month or $34.99 a year, plus a free trial for a limited time. Prices vary by country.
Which should you choose: Skin Bliss or GoodSkin?
