The short answer

Haut.AI powers skin analysis on beauty brands' own websites and apps, and there is no Haut.AI app for you to download. GoodSkin is an app you keep: 14 trait scores plus a Skin Score, brand-neutral recommendations, monthly tracking, and no account. Haut.AI fits if you are a beauty brand or retailer adding skin analysis to your own website, app or store.

If you want to analyze and track your own skin, GoodSkin is the one you can actually download. Haut.AI is not a consumer app. It is a B2B company, based in Tallinn, Estonia, that sells AI skin analysis technology to beauty brands and retailers, who build it into their own websites, apps and stores. GoodSkin is a consumer app: you install it on your iPhone or Android phone, take a selfie, and track 14 skin traits over time with advice that is not tied to any brand.

If you scanned your face on a skincare brand’s website and saw Haut.AI’s name, that is the Haut.AI you met. This page explains what it is, how it compares with a consumer app, and why an app of your own is the better choice for tracking your skin.

What is Haut.AI?

According to its homepage, Haut.AI builds AI skin analysis and generative AI software for beauty brands. Its main products are:

  • AI Skin Analysis, which turns a selfie into skin scores and product recommendations. Brands can embed a no-code “Skin Consultant App” with an iframe or share it as a link or QR code, including on in-store tablets, or connect through a server-to-server API for a fully custom build.
  • LIQA, Haut.AI’s smart camera, which guides the user on face position, angle, lighting and framing while taking the selfie.
  • Skin.Chat, an AI skincare companion that recommends a routine, answers questions and lets shoppers add products to the cart from the chat.
  • SkinGPT, generative AI that simulates how skincare products may change the look of real skin over time.

Its AI Skin Analysis FAQ states plainly that it is a business-to-business provider that does not recommend or endorse specific products itself. The brand using it decides which products to suggest.

Where you might have seen Haut.AI

The best-known example right now is Olay Skin Advisor. In June 2026, Haut.AI announced that its LIQA camera and a new Virtual Companion feature, powered by SkinGPT, are part of Olay’s tool. Haut.AI’s homepage also shows logos of companies such as Beiersdorf, Neutrogena, Ulta Beauty and NAOS (Bioderma) under “Trusted by leading brands.”

So if you used a skin quiz on a brand’s site, the branding and the product list you saw were set up by that brand, while the underlying analysis came from Haut.AI. That is also why two Haut.AI-powered tools on different sites can look and feel quite different. If you are weighing Olay’s version specifically, see our Olay Skin Advisor vs GoodSkin comparison.

How does the analysis compare?

What is measured. GoodSkin scores 14 traits: Skin Age, Acne, Wrinkles, Dark Spots, Pores, Redness, Pigmentation, Glow, Hydration, Oiliness, Face Shape, Bloat, Elasticity and Texture, with an overall Skin Score out of 100, skin type and skin tone. Haut.AI says its engine identifies 15 or more skin metrics, and its FAQ lists texture, pores, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, dark spots, dark circles, redness, oiliness, hydration, brightness and skin tone evenness, plus skin type and a Fitzpatrick skin tone classification. There is a lot of overlap.

What the result is for. This is the real difference. In GoodSkin, the result is the point: a status for each trait (from Excellent to Needs Improvement), a short explanation, practical recommendations, and a record you can compare against next month. On a brand’s site, the analysis feeds that brand’s recommendation logic. The journey ends in a product list from that brand and often a checkout button.

Photo quality. Both rely on a good selfie. GoodSkin shows a scan confidence rating that flags blurry, dark or badly lit photos. Haut.AI’s LIQA camera guides you before the photo is taken.

Accuracy claims. Haut.AI states 98% accuracy against expert-labeled datasets. That is the company’s own figure, and like any vendor claim it is hard for a shopper to check. Any selfie-based tool, including GoodSkin, gives cosmetic estimates that shift with lighting and camera angle. Our guide to how accurate AI skin analysis is explains what to expect.

Simulations. SkinGPT can show what your skin might look like after using a product. GoodSkin does not offer simulations. It shows how your own scores actually change, scan by scan.

Tracking over time

GoodSkin is built for tracking without tying you to a store. With GoodSkin Premium, you get unlimited scans, your history is organized by month with your average and best score, and you get before-and-after comparisons, daily scan streaks and a daily skincare tip. That works whatever products you use.

Whether you can track your results in a Haut.AI-powered tool depends on the brand, and Haut.AI does not say what each brand offers. Olay, for example, lets Club Olay members save past scans and track visible changes.

Why people choose GoodSkin over a brand’s skin scanner

  • It is your app, not a brand’s. One place to track your skin, whichever products you buy.
  • Brand-neutral advice. Every trait comes with a status, a short explanation and practical recommendations that are not tied to a product catalog.
  • Tracking is built in. Monthly averages, best score, before-and-after comparisons and streaks, all in one history.
  • Private by default. No account, photos are not stored on GoodSkin’s servers, and your history stays on your phone.

Privacy

GoodSkin needs no account, does not store your photos on its servers, and keeps your scan history on your phone.

Haut.AI says its patented Skin Atlas technology strips identifying features such as the eyes, hair and eyebrows from face images before cloud processing, and that no facial images are retained in the cloud. Keep in mind that the brand running the tool has its own privacy policy too, and that policy governs what the brand keeps. Olay, for example, says it deletes selfies within 24 hours, or after 3 years for registered users.

Cost

GoodSkin is free to download. The full report, unlimited scans and progress tracking come with GoodSkin Premium, an in-app subscription.

Haut.AI sells to businesses on usage-based plans, with prices available on request. For shoppers, a brand’s Haut.AI-powered tool is priced by the brand. Olay’s Skin Advisor, for example, is free.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose GoodSkin if you are a shopper who wants your own app that scores 14 traits, gives brand-neutral tips and tracks your progress month to month. For personal skin analysis and tracking, it is the better choice. Learn more on our AI skin analysis page.
  • Use a brand’s Haut.AI-powered tool if you already like that brand and want a routine built from its range.
  • Choose Haut.AI if you run a skincare brand, retailer or clinic and want AI skin analysis, chat or result simulations inside your own website, app or store. GoodSkin is not a B2B platform.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Haut.AI app I can download?

No. Haut.AI does not offer a standalone consumer app. It provides a free interactive demo at skinanalysis.pro, but its product recommendations there are for demonstration only, because Haut.AI says it does not recommend or endorse products itself. If you want an app of your own for tracking your skin, GoodSkin is available on iPhone and Android.

What is Haut.AI SkinGPT?

SkinGPT is Haut.AI's generative AI engine that simulates how skin may look over time with skincare products, ingredients, aging or environmental factors. Brands use it for virtual try-ons and to visualize product claims, and the results are simulations, not guarantees.

Which brands use Haut.AI?

Olay's Skin Advisor uses Haut.AI's LIQA camera and Virtual Companion technology, announced in June 2026. Haut.AI's homepage also shows logos of brands and retailers such as Beiersdorf, Neutrogena, Ulta Beauty and NAOS (Bioderma).
